Ryan & Kelly's Green Strum Project. St. Louis' first 100% local & green recording.
The CD features instruments made by local luthiers as well as homemade, local instruments built from recycled, found, and purchased items.
It is our hope that this album will not only entertain, but also serve to inspire others to explore the opportunities that occur at the intersection of art and sustainability.
Ryan's most recent solo release, "Pain and Time" is a selection of tracks from four “living room” sessions during the winter of 2012. All of the music on this project was recorded live. There were no click tracks , no overdubs, and very little editing. It is a minimalist recording.
Some of these songs have been with Ryan so long that he does’t even remember learning them, some he's recently penned, and the rest fall somewhere in between. Ryan has included some traditional chestnuts, some originals, and a couple of others.
Kelly's first band project, The Lulus debut album, released in 2011. Old-Time, Bluegrass, Classic Country, Strong Vocals, Tasteful Harmonies, and Independent Women combine to make The Lulus a musical experience that you won't soon forget. These women tell it like it is with their blend of southern and mid-western sass. The Lulus meld an array of instruments with a unique repertoire of little-known songs that you'll want to hear again and again. Come fill your glass up to the brim.
